COVID-19 Court Closures

As we are closely monitoring the business impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic we will post any known closures on this page.

Current Closures: Update as of March 26, 2020

  • Ontario: As of 10:00 am this morning (March 23, 2020), civil, estates, bankruptcy, commercial, divisional and court of appeal offices are all closed to the public until further notice.
  • Ontario: Civil courts are only taking urgent matters (filings) relating to the virus.
  • Ontario: 393 University – Court CLOSED. Ministry of Government and Consumer Services OPEN with modified hours: 9:00am to 4:00pm EST (Filings).
  • New Brunswick: All Court Houses CLOSED. With the exception of NB Sheriff’s Offices & Litigation Court which are OPEN.
  • Nova Scotia: CLOSED. However, please continue to request if client requires as per agent – the requests are being put in a queue to be completed in the order received once the COVID19 restrictions have been lifted.
  • Newfoundland: Litigation Court CLOSED. However, please continue to request if client requires as per agent – the requests are being put in a queue to be completed in the order received once the COVID19 restrictions have been lifted.
  • Yukon: Courts CLOSED.
